Food Safety Courses

A very popular course 'Safer Food Better Business' uses the Food Standards Agency manual to underpin the principles of food safety administration.  Employers can attend or send an appointed person with responsibility for the maintenance of the records associated with running a food and beverage operation.  The administration required to ascertain legal compliance requires regular and systematic working practices.  This course aimed at level 2 is accessible to all and highly recommended. CIEH Level 1 Award in Induction into Safety in Food Premises

This is a specially designed course for anyone who needs a basic overview of Food Safety and Health and Safety issues in the workplace.  Some employers did not need the full qualification and some voluntary organisations find this course covers a comprehensive range of the basics sufficient to satisfy the legal term that training should be given 'commensurate with their duties'.  This course runs 10am to 4pm and candidates receive a certificate of attendance.  All other courses are qualifications and fully credited.

CIEH Level 1 Award in Food Safety Awareness in Catering

Entry point to the field of food safety - the content is simple and presented in a visually stimulating format.  Our level 1 awards are perfect for employees with only basic education, for whom English is a second language or those with special needs.  It consists of a brief introduction to food safety around four syllabus areas; food safety, personal hygiene, cleaning and contamination.

CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering

Level 2 is for food handlers who are working with high risk or open food.  This requires knowledge in addition to level 1 of temperate control and safe storage, the law, food premesis and equipment.  This is the most popular of all our courses.

CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing

This course is suited to persons in a supervisorory or managerial capacity of a food and beverage operation.

CIEH Level 3 Award in HACCP in Catering

This course is particularly useful for managers and supervisors of a catering operation.  If you are responsible for the administrative evidence required to prove due diligence, this course is for you.

CIEH  Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety in Catering

This is an advanced and comprehensive course usually attended over a six week period.  Students often underestimate the amount of home study that is required.  This is level 4!!
